A la hora de comprar un coche muchos son los interrogantes que se nos plantean: color, motor, equipamiento, carrocerÃa…pero hoy nos vamos a ocupar de la gran desconocida: el tipo de caja de cambios. Pocos son los que se plantean cambiar, ya sea por el alto precio de esta opción, por que suele venir asociada a una sola motorización o por que simplemente les gusta lo que ya conocen. Desde aposta.com intentaremos contrastar estas y otras cuestiones para que cuando tengas que tomar esa decisión cuentes con toda la información.
En primer lugar diremos que en la actualidad existen diferentes tipos de cajas de cambios automáticas. Intentaremos diferenciarlas entre dos clasificaciones básicas:
- Cambio automático tradicional: Se trata de ya conocido cambio con estructura P,R,N,D, donde solo manejamos pedales de freno y aceledor y con la palanca de cambios pasamos de parado a marcha atrás, punto muerto y directa. Las ventajas sobre el manual es que cumple su función, es mucho más comodo. Se dice que el conductor que ha tenido automático ya no quiere otra cosa, no en vano os aseguro que la transición de un tipo a otro puede ser frustrante. Las desventajas a decir verdad no son pocas: aumento del consumo, dificultad de adaptación y sobre todo falta de control de la potencia del coche. Es decir: el automático simpre va en marchas altas, y cuando se le pide toda la potencia tarda más de lo que nos gustarÃa en reaccionar, y más aún en reducir de marcha. En general la sensación es la misma que con los motores TDI sin turbo variable, tira cuando le da la gana.
- Cambio semi-automático o pilotado: Este tipo de caja de cambios no es más que una mejora del tipo anterior, y se distingue porque el conductor puede intervenir seleccionando la marcha que el considere más adecuada o dejar que sea el propio coche el que lo haga, y en algunos casos elegir el modo de conducción que queremos realizar, ya sea deportiva o normal. La proliferación de este tipo de cambios en los últimos años ha sido espectacular. DSG de VW, Triptronic Audi, 7G-TRONIC de Mercedes o el cambio en J de Jaguar…(este último hemos podido probarlo en aposta.com y la verdad es que por mucho que pasen los años nos sigue pareciendo una configuración óptima, sobre todo por lo intuitivo que resulta, ya que algunos de los cambios que hemos citado en su busca de la comodidad resultan complicados). Lo cierto es que no pocas marcas ofrecen este tipo de cambios en sus modelos, ofreciendo novedosas y originales ideas. Lo último: las levas en el volante, con la leva de la derecha se sube de marcha, con la de la izquierda se reduce; más simple que la play. El primer coche que yo recuerde que las llevaba y no de serie era ni más ni menos que el Ferrari F-50; ahà es nada. Hoy en dÃa se presenta de opción o incluso de serie en modelos que considerarÃamos de calle.
En definitiva desde aposta.com te recomendamos los cambios semiautomáticos, que aunque resultan caros, resuelven el problema de los tradicionales y una vez que te acostumbras el manual de toda la vida te resultara probablemente un auténtico….royo.
