Seguramente, un titular arriesgado, pero me gustarÃa invitar a nuestros lectores a un ejercicio de reflexión ligera. En primer lugar, el Focus RS, del que deriva esta versión de 500 unidades que ahora nos ocupa, ya era el vehÃculo de tracción delantera más potente vendido en España.
Gracias a su diferencial autoblocante en el tren motriz, las pérdidas de tracción se habÃan minimizado, pero ahora añaden 50 CV más a los 300 con los que ya contaba la versión de calle.
La aceleración hasta los 100 km/h consigue bajar de los 6 segundos (es decir, se sitúa en términos semejantes a los de, por ejemplo, un Porsche Boxter), y se añade más equipamiento. Soy un fiel seguidor de los conceptos afilados, es decir, me gustan los coches que demuestran una vocación clara por un tipo de uso.
Por ejemplo, disfruto con los deportivos que realmente lo son (como un Renault Twingo RS), aquellos que están destinados a transportar una familia con comodidad (como hace el Skoda Octavia y su enorme maletero), y por supuesto prefiero que un todocamino tenga una capacidad off road útil (es el caso toda la gama Land Rover).
El Focus RS500 tiene un objetivo: potencia. Tiene la mejor relación precio/potencia de nuestro paÃs, pero eso ya lo habÃa logrado el RS básico. No creo que sea necesario, ni siquiera aprovechable. Más allá de los cambios en el eje trasero para aumentar la sensación de flotabilidad, contradice la lógica de la deportividad propulsada.
Y por cierto, no sufrieron bastantes crÃticas, y guasa, con el color verde chillón del RS. Se atreven con el mate.
