En los años 80 Peugeot pensó que podÃa ser una buena idea cambiar el concepto de movilidad en las grandes cuidades. A medio camino entre el vehÃculo privado, objetivo a derribar por muchos, y el masificado y no siempre eficiente transporte público, crearon un innovador concepto de movilidad sostenible, Tulip.
Entonces, se daba la posibilidad al cliente de alquilar un pequeño vehÃculo eléctrico de dos plazas para realizar sus desplazamientos por la cuidad. Se recogÃa en un punto de intercambio y se dejaba en otro, como por ejemplo estaciones de tren o autobús.
Ahora Peugeot recupera esta idea con Mu, ampliando la gama de vehÃculos que se ponen a disposición del cliente. De hecho estará disponible, además de practicamente toda la gama Peugeot, algunos vehÃculos comerciales, motocicles y bicicletas eléctricas.
Para tener acceso a este servicio tenemos que registrarnos en la página oficual de Mu, y mediante una tarjeta prepago que también se recarga a través de internet. Otra de las ventajas que obtendremos es que con la misma tarjeta podemos acceder a un servicio de reserva de hoteles, restaurantes y algún otro servicio relacionado con el uso del vehÃculo.
La idea, asà planteada parece buena. Si una mañana tengo que hacer algunas gestiones por la capital española (pionera en nuestro territorio), me alquilo un coche durante unas horas y además de ganar comodidad frente al transporte público, seguramente sea más barato que moverse en taxi.
Con esto llegamos a la principal cuestión. El precio. Será el factor determinante que convierta esta propuesta auspicidad por el Ayuntamiento en una anécdota. La verdad es que en el resto de capitales europeas el precio no es precisamente barato. Para que os hagáis una idea un Peugeot 207 cuenta un dÃa con un lÃmite de kilometraje de 200 Km unos 56 euros.
Por otro lado como cuidadano que paga religiosamente sus impuestos, y no precisamente bajos, serÃa más lógico pensar en un transporte público que sea de una vez por todas la mejor opción para moverse por la capital.
Esta iniciativa estará funcionando en la capital el 20 de Mayo, asà que para entonces sabremos más detalles sobre Mu, y si realemente supone un nuevo concepto de movilidad que cambie nuestra forma de hacer nuestro deplazamientos por las grandes ciudades.
