El consorcio europeo Euro NCAP acaba de dar a conocer un nueva tanda, bastante amplia, de resultados sobre vehÃculos nuevos que ya están a la venta en Europa. Todos estos resultados se atienen por supuesto al nuevo criterio, más exigente, de valoración.
Casi todos los modelos testados, que no han sido pocos, han obtenido 5 estrellas. Concretamente, con la máxima calificación han sido testados los siguientes vehÃculos: Fiat 500L, Ford Fiesta, Ford Kuga, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mercedes Benz A , Mitsubishi Outlander, Opel/Vauxhall Mokka, Range Rover , Seat Leon, Seat Toledo, Skoda Rapid, Subaru Forester, Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid y VW Golf.
En el vagón de cola se sitúa el Dacia Lodgy, que con tan sólo 3 estrellas queda bastante lejos de sus rivales. La verdad es que durante la presentación del modelo en Marruecos, los responsables de la marca ya nos advirtieron de esta calificación, asà que no podemos hablar de una sorpresa desagradable.
Hay varias cuestiones a tener en cuenta que matizan el resultado (el nuevo criterior más exigente, la penalización por parte de Euro NCAP por la falta de algunos sistemas de seguridad de serie etc.), pero al final, es una estrategÃa comercial complicada de explicar. El Dacia Lodgy es un buen coche, barato para el espacio que ofrece, pero su mala calificación en un test de seguridad puede desanimar a algunos conductores.
No obstante, no se deberÃa pensar que este Dacia es un coche inseguro. Simplemente no es tan seguro como modelos más caros que cuentan con tecnologÃa más moderna. Lo mejor es examinar con detenimiento las explicaciones pormenorizadas que el consorcio europeo proporciona.
A ver al final son 3 estrellas, y no es por el precio, que el nuevo León empieza en 14.000 y muchas versiones del propio Lodgy, la mayorÃa en realidad, van a costar eso. Saludos
