El Salón de Barcelona ha abierto ya sus puertas con importantes novedades. Se presentan en esta edición 2 novedades mundiales, el Renault Twizy Sport F1, una versión, digamos, deportiva, del pequeño eléctrico, y el Volkswagen e-Up!, la versión eléctrica del modelo más pequeño de la marca alemana, cuyo principal dato es que cuenta con una autonomía de hasta 130 km, recargable hasta un 80% en una hora.

A nivel europeo se han presentado 4 novedades: Audi A3 Sedán, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Nissan Juke 1.5 dCi y Range Rover Sport. Lo cierto es que aunque son novedades importantes, no podemos hablar de grandes primicias que hayan generado una gran expectación.

No obstante, lo que sí ha conseguido esta edición es poner el énfasis necesario en la idea de que la industria del automóvil es realmente importante para nuestra economía. Más de 200.000 personas trabajan en ella, y somos el 2º productor de automóviles de Europa.

Esta idea, en sí misma, no genera ninguna rentabilidad, pero quizá sí sea importante señalar a la opinión pública que no todo en España son corruptelas, desmanes e ilegalidades. También tenemos sectores que funcionan, y muy satisfactoriamente, y es un hecho comprobado que podemos hacer las cosas bien. Es posible que de vez en cuando nos convenga recordarlo, no sólo para darnos una palmadita en la espalda y ver las cosas más positivamente, si no para redoblar nuestros esfuerzos por acabar con los comportamientos generalizados que, precisamente, no permiten que estos sectores eficientes generen riqueza y empleo.
