Está claro. En todas partes cuencen habas. Muchas son las marcas que intentan sacar al mercado EL modelo, aquél que signifique un antes y un después en el automovilismo, como lo fueron en su momento el Ford-T o el VW Beattle. Es evidente que cada vez están más cerca.
Como comentábamos ayer desde Twitter hay algunos modelos en fase de pre-producción que pueden acercar el mañana al hoy:
El Opel Ampera es el primero de ellos. Tiene un motor eléctrico enchufable a la red de 230v que permite recargar sus baterÃas de ion-litio, y que dotan al coche de una autonomÃa de 60km, distancia suficiente como para realizar nuestros desplazamientos diarios. A partir de ahÃ, el motor-generador de combustión interna carga las baterÃas y nos da otros 500km de autonomÃa., con un consumo de 1.6 l/100km. Según Opel el coste por km es mucho menor que el de un coche convencional: 0,02€, y las prestaciones corresponden a las de cualquier coche familiar de gama media: de 0 a 100 km/h en 9 segundos y 160 km/h de velocidad máxima.
Honda FCX Clarity: Funciona con una pila de combustible. Sólo tenemos que repostar hidrógeno a presión, y este en contacto con el aire, produce electricidad (electrólisis), obteniendo casi 500km de autonomÃa. En California ya está a la venta, pero para Europa se estima que llegue sobre 2015.
Toyota Prius Plug-in: Funciona con un motor de combustión interna y un motor eléctrico que ayuda a este. Es capaz de funcionan en modo eléctrico pero a diferencia del Ampera las batarÃas se cargan durantes las fases de deceleración. En esta nueva generación además podemos enchufar el coche a la red eléctrica para obtener 20km de autonomÃa extra en modo eléctrico.
¿Cuál de estos tres modelos será el que revolucionario? El que no lo sea. Las revoluciones son costosas y dificiles de implantar, necesitamos un coche que se amolde a nuestro estilo de vida. Lo cierto es que el Prius sólo aporta 20km de autonomÃa sobre el modo hÃbrido normal, y el Toyota FCX sólo se vende en California y está por ver que sea cuestión de 5 años que llegue al mercado mundial. El Opel con 60 km de autonomÃa cubre las necesidades de movilidad diarias y según Opel el coste en electricidad para el usuario será inferior a 2€. ¿Un revolucionario que nos permita no cambiar nada? Sólo el tiempo lo dirá.
